Woodson received his doctorate from Harvard University in 1912, taught history at Howard University, and was a founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. In 1926 he created the annual observance that later became Black History Month. National Park Service Ranger John T. Fowler joins us to discuss this historic site.
