We welcome Dan Piazza, Chief Curator of Philately at the National Postal Museum for the July Lunchtime Lecture. His talk will be about our country’s first postage stamp, as well as lots of “firsts” associated with postage stamps around the world. This July marks the 170th Anniversary of the first U.S. Postage Stamp that was issued in 1847. Here’s a question for you: do you know what famous person appears on America’s very first stamp? Come find out the answer and celebrate the anniversary with us. Date of lecture: July 19, 2017
